LEGAL INFORMATION
Privacy Policy
Effective September 26, 2026
1. Scope and responsibility
This Privacy Policy explains how Vowentra handles personal information on its public website and in its private wedding-planning application. For information processed to operate the application, the Vowentra operator is the organization responsible for deciding why and how that information is used, where applicable. Lemon Squeezy separately handles checkout and payment information under its own privacy practices.
2. Information Vowentra receives
Account information. The authentication service may provide an email address, display name, and authenticated account identifier. Vowentra uses this information to identify the account, secure access, connect a purchase, and support collaboration.
Wedding-planning information. You may add preferred names, wedding dates and locations, budgets, expenses, guest and RSVP information, seating, vendor contacts, tasks, schedules, notes, moodboards, honeymoon plans, and related settings.
Files. You may upload contracts, quotes, receipts, images, floor plans, and other reference documents. File names, types, sizes, ownership, and storage identifiers are processed with the file.
Purchase and entitlement information. Vowentra may receive limited order details from Lemon Squeezy, such as an order, product, variant, customer, status, currency, and refund identifier. Vowentra does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
Technical and marketing information. The service may process basic request, security, error, device, and usage information needed to operate and protect the site. Meta advertising analytics load on Vowentra pages and may use browser cookies. Campaign parameters may be stored temporarily in browser storage for checkout attribution.
Optional notification information. If a couple, co-planner, or guest enables browser notifications, Vowentra stores the browser push endpoint and device-generated encryption keys needed to deliver those alerts. These records are linked to the relevant authenticated wedding member or private guest invitation, but do not contain the person’s browser-notification content history.
3. Information about guests, vendors, and other people
Workspace owners and co-planners may enter information about people who do not have Vowentra accounts. The workspace owner is responsible for having an appropriate reason and permission to collect and use that information, providing any notice required by law, limiting it to what is genuinely needed, and responding to requests from those people. Vowentra does not use guest lists or vendor contacts for its own advertising.
4. Why information is used
Information is used to provide and secure the contracted product; authenticate users; save, connect, display, export, and delete planning information; process verified purchases and refunds; enable one co-planner; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot problems; comply with legal obligations; and improve reliability and usability.
When browser notifications are enabled, information is also used to deliver selected planning reminders, RSVP activity, and couple-prepared guest updates to that browser. WhatsApp messages are prepared for the workspace member to review and send through WhatsApp; Vowentra does not automatically send WhatsApp messages or collect a guest’s WhatsApp account credentials.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on performance of the product contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or compliance with legal obligations. For advertising analytics, see the browser storage information below.
5. When information is shared
Information is shared only as reasonably needed with service providers that support hosting, authentication, data storage, security, and product operation; with Lemon Squeezy for checkout, payment, tax, fraud, receipt, refund, and merchant-of-record functions; with Meta for advertising analytics; with professional advisers or authorities when legally required; or in connection with a legitimate business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Vowentra does not sell personal information or guest-list data for money. It does not permit service providers to use private wedding content for their own independent marketing.
6. Storage, access, and security
Planning records and files are scoped to a private wedding workspace. Protected requests verify authenticated membership and active access on the server. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, including access controls, signed payment notifications, workspace-level authorization, and private file storage. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
The owner controls access for the invited co-planner. Users should choose trusted collaborators, protect their authenticated accounts, avoid unnecessary sensitive information, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
7. International processing
Vowentra and its service providers may process information in countries other than the user’s country. Where applicable law requires it, transfers are supported by recognized legal mechanisms or contractual safeguards. Browser vendors and their push-delivery services also process notification subscriptions and delivery requests under their own privacy practices. Users should review the privacy information of the authentication, hosting, payment, analytics, browser, and messaging providers they choose to use.
8. Retention and deletion
Wedding-planning information is retained while the workspace remains active so the purchased product can function. The owner can export a portable backup and permanently delete the wedding project through the product’s data controls. Project deletion removes the workspace records, associated stored files, and active browser-notification subscriptions from active product storage. Guest notification subscriptions also stop working when their private invitation link is revoked or expires.
Limited account, entitlement, payment-reference, security, support, and audit information may be kept after project deletion for as long as reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Temporary logs and backup remnants are removed or overwritten under operational retention cycles. Information may be anonymized when it no longer needs to identify a person.
9. Privacy choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability; withdraw consent; and complain to a competent data-protection authority. These rights may be limited where an exception or legal obligation applies. Vowentra may need to verify the requester’s account before acting.
Owners can correct most planning information directly, export a complete project backup, and delete the wedding project from the product. For another privacy request, use the Contact page. Requests will be answered within the period required by applicable law.
Browser notifications require an explicit opt-in on each device. Members and guests can turn them off in Vowentra or revoke permission using their browser or operating-system settings. Turning off browser notifications does not remove RSVP or other planning records already submitted to the couple.
10. Browser storage and analytics
Meta Pixel loads when you visit Vowentra and sends page visit events. It may set cookies such as _fbp and _fbc. Vowentra also temporarily stores campaign information such as fbclid and UTM parameters to connect a visit with checkout. You can clear browser storage using your browser controls; the Pixel may set cookies again on a later visit. For privacy requests, use the Contact page.
11. Children
Vowentra is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. Do not create an account for a child. Information about child wedding guests should be limited to what is genuinely needed for event planning and added only by an authorized adult.
12. Policy changes
This policy may be updated when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be revised for material updates, and additional notice will be provided when required.
13. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the Vowentra Contact page. Do not send passwords, full payment-card information, or government identification by ordinary email.
